What is Light Therapy?

It’s all about the Light Therapy. On this page you will find a list of some of the benefits associated with Light Therapy, a glance at the science and research being done on Light Therapy and the premier system that I use. In the monthly newsletter and the weekly blogs to come I will be expounding on these aspects of LT and more.

Benefits

Light therapy does not work for everyone. But it often does work for people with many medical conditions. The following list is only some of the conditions that have been positively affected by light therapy.

Science

In a nutshell, the light from the light therapy pads release Nitric Oxide, which relaxes the muscle, which stimulates vasodilation, which then increases blood circulation, which in turn increases oxygen in the blood, which reduces inflammation, and increases ATP in the cell.

That is a lot of steps, but they all are steps in supporting your body to heal itself. Starting at the top, when Nitric Oxide (which your body produces naturally) is decreased because of disease, the light helps increase the nitric oxide.

New research shows that increased nitric oxide can maintain healthy blood pressure and prevent or delay heart disease. Better blood circulation means that any vitamins or supplements you take are more efficiently delivered to your tissues and organs. Low ATP is a common denominator of several conditions that involve extreme fatigue: heart disease, fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue syndrome.

Research

There has been a lot of research done on Light Therapy. The link shared here has a number of the studies done.
